Fiona holds a Masters Degree and Diploma in Counselling with significant experience in face to face therapy. She is originally from Ireland and has lived and worked in Singapore for fifteen years. She has also resided in Germany, the United Kingdom and China – which has offered her an appreciation and understanding of the challenges that face both the local and international communities.
Fiona’s background is in Secondary & Adult Education, where she acquired a wealth of experience in working with adults and children. Her work experience ranges from counselling to teaching and training. She works with families, couples, and individuals.
Fiona adopts a person-centered approach in her work and believes that having a strong and positive relationship with the client is of utmost importance when helping the client feel safe, comfortable and protected during therapy.
She uses an integrative approach and understanding of the counselling process. Fiona tailors her therapeutic technique depending on the presented issues of each client, which involves assessing and delivering interventions and adapting her treatment plan to a client’s individual needs. Psycho-education is something of value that she offers and teaches.
