Anna-Murie is a counsellor in training, currently completing a Master of Counselling from Monash University in Australia. She is currently offering therapeutic interventions and mentoring to Primary and Secondary students at an International School in Singapore. At Incontact, she continues to see children, adolescents and adults supporting them with a variety of modalities such as Creative Therapy, Mindfulness Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Having left the United Kingdom as a child and relocated to the Republic of Ireland, Anna-Murie is passionate about supporting transitions and change that are often experienced by expats, in addition to supporting Third Culture Kids and adults. Her experience as a teacher has led her to support children with a wide range of school based issues such as anxiety, selective mutism, autism, learning challenges, emotional regulation, social skills difficulties and low self esteem. Her experience as an International teacher has provided valuable experience in also supporting families throughout times of change, relocation and the anxiety that often surfaces during these periods.
Anna-Murie has lived in Singapore for the last 7 years and understands the challenges that expats face. She has over 12 years of experience working with individuals from a variety of different cultures and believes in supporting clients with sensitivity whilst adopting an individualised client centred approach. She continues to work in a collaborative manner with her clients, empowering them to ignite change in a supportive, cohesive and non-judgmental environment.
