Employee Assistance Programmes

Couple Counselling

Mental health awareness in Asia’s workplace culture is going through an evolution. The corporate space is seeing more appreciation for mental health as well as an advancement in organisational mental health wellbeing through the cultural barriers being broken by organisations and their senior leadership. More and more organisations are starting to provide mental health benefits for employees that match physical health benefits. Hence, we collaborate with employers and organisations who want to put employee wellbeing and mental health at the foreground and facilitate an organisational culture that normalises mental health wellbeing using our Employee Assistance Programme.

What is the Employee Assistance Programme?

Our Employee Assistance Programme is a holistic scheme where we collaborate with you as a partner to handle mental health as a whole for your company. Services we provide as part of this programme include personal counselling and coaching, lunch talks, wellness workshops, crisis interventions and mental health assessment through leadership discussions and employee surveys.

Benefits of the Employee Assistance Programme

Our Employee Assistance Programme facilitates the process of demystifying mental health for your employees and provides tools and resources to assist them in managing their wellbeing.

Providing a safe mental wellbeing culture through our Employee Assistance Programme will promote your organisation as one focused on employee wellbeing and improve the perceived organisational support of existing employees.

As most organisations and employees will invariably encounter changes, we assist and facilitate change management for employees in both personal and professional fields. An example of this change management is helping employees deal with retrenchment issues.

All organisations experience crises. Through the EAP, we collaborate with organisations in order to provide quick and compassionate responses to each distinct crisis. Compassion, quick attunement and professional trainings are our strength.

Common Issues We Address

Stress management

Stress is a leading cause of disability in both work and our personal lives. If it is not managed well, it can lead to other mental health concerns like anxiety, depression and substance abuse. Helping your employees manage their stress is critical to fostering a conducive environment for your organisation in terms of its culture and efficiency.

Burnout

Burnout is a stress-related psychological syndrome that can lead to feelings of hopelessness and disruption in our daily lives. Common causes include excessive workload, multitasking and a tendency to have unrelenting standards and seek perfection. This leads to a lack of rest and self-care. Burnout can result in lower job performance, absenteeism and further mental health issues like anxiety.

Depression and Anxiety

We increasingly see individuals experience anxiety and depression both from the workplace and their personal lives that is impacting their work efficiency and their daily life functioning. Hence, we can work with them to equip them with tools and resources to manage these mental health concerns.

Our Approach

At Incontact, we place a large emphasis on mental health education. We believe in educating organisations on mental health issues through psychoeducation and normalisation, so we strongly encourage organisations to create platforms for employees to learn through talks and wellness workshops. This seeds an organisational culture of wellness and increases the uptake of counselling when and if needed. We are also a firm believer in using technologies to foster mental health awareness through mobile or computer applications.

We provide a safe counselling space by trained psychotherapists who have had corporate experience and understand the struggles of employees in managing their work life balance in organisations.

Our counsellors are all trained in the NOVA Community Crisis Response Team training. The NOVA CCRT program has been training crisis response teams in evidence based and field tested practices for both smaller scale and mass casualty crisis management since 1986. NOVA CCRT-trained responders can provide crisis intervention, education and emotional first aid in the aftermath of a critical incident.

We have worked with many EAP partners, including companies like Workplace Options, ComPsych, Optum and Unmind, and we have experience working with multinational corporations like SQ, OCBC, Google, Oracle, Barclays Bank, J.P. Morgan to provide employees with mental health resources.
