Steven holds a Master in Counselling from Monash University. He is passionate in the field of mental well-being having been involved in preparing couples for life-long marriages for many years and still is active today. He volunteers with a family counselling agency seeing cases ranging from depression, anxiety to marital & relationship challenges. He has also experience counselling in schools and in a drug rehabilitation setting.

Steven’s approach in counselling is to first create a safe and caring environment for the client. His person-centred approach and empathetic listening skills allow the client to be able to speak openly and be listened to. He believes in personal empowerment and seeks to help clients achieve practical and sustainable long-term solutions to their own problems by asking the difficult questions and sometimes having the uncomfortable conversations. Steven has a special interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy and the facilitation of authentic conversations

Before embarking on the counselling journey, Steven has extensive global leadership experience working in various American and European Multi-National corporations. Steven has worked and lived in Australia, Japan, USA, Malaysia and Singapore during a corporate career that spanned over 30 years. This has allowed him to experience working with people from different walks of life and cultures.
