Mental health awareness in Asia’s workplace culture is going through an evolution. The corporate space is seeing more appreciation for mental health as well as an advancement in organisational mental health wellbeing through the cultural barriers being broken by organisations and their senior leadership. More and more organisations are starting to provide mental health benefits for employees that match physical health benefits. Incontact’s Employee Assistance Programme includes Lunch Talks that serve to educate employees and employers alike on the importance of mental health and provide them with resources to strengthen it.
Incontact’s mental health awareness lunch talks are an aspect of our Employee Assistance Programme that offer corporate clients an in-depth look at the myriad of challenges that a person who neglects their mental health needs can present. Our professionals that have worked with hundreds of clients offer an explanation of various ailments alongside tools to heal and pragmatically work through the obstacles that arise in our lives. This is mental health education made digestible and accessible for all through short interactive forty five-ninety minute long talks onsite or online.
Through our lunch talks, we want to help organisations demystify mental health and promote a work environment that is engaging and supportive to their employees and to give them resources like strategies and appropriate coping mechanisms to deal with mental health challenges.
Our lunch talks are good introductory sessions to the field of mental health. They are light and last approximately sixty to ninety minutes. We favor an inductive approach where audience members are encouraged to participate, over a dry presentational style. This can take the form of role-plays, group discussions or other experiential activities in the mentor-mentee style where our therapists take the role of mentor and the audience plays the role of mentee.
Our lunch talk topics are not limited to this list and we are able to customise these topics to suit your organisation’s needs.
If you want to collaborate with Incontact to create more resources and awareness on mental health within your organisation, fill up our EAP Consultation form and book an appointment now.
We offer these lunch talks as a standalone service outside of our EAP as well. For more details on cost and process, please contact us.
Our counsellors are accredited by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). All our counsellors are all also NOVA CCRT certified and professionally trained in a wide range of therapeutic modalities to help you with issues like grief, burnout, depression, anxiety and workplace stress.
